All families who have pre-purchased tickets and/or t-shirts must pick up these items at the Parent & Family Weekend Check-In. Families who did not pre-register can register on-site at the Parent & Family Weekend Check-In and purchase any remaining tickets and t-shirts.
Parent & Family Weekend Check-In hours:
Friday, November 1 from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Saturday, November 2 from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
When ordering tickets, please include your student(s) in any orders you place. For some events (Family BBQ, bus tours, and walking tours) there is a fee associated with the student, while other events (Voices & Sounds a cappella concert and football game) the student ticket is free for any current WashU student. It is important that you add the free student ticket to your order, when applicable, to help us anticipate the total number of attendees for each event and ensure everyone has a seat.
When purchasing tickets, the Eventbrite system will ask for your name (buyer) and have space for the name(s) of your WashU student(s). Tickets will be consolidated together for pick-up under the buyer name. We do not need the name of each guest on tickets because these are physical tickets.
Advanced ticket sales will end at Noon CT on Friday, October 25. Family BBQ ticket sales and t-shirt sales have an earlier advance sale end date, which is Noon CT on Wednesday, October 16, and is visible in Eventbrite under their respective tickets. Any unsold or returned tickets will be available for purchase at the Parent & Family Weekend Check-In.
We are unable to process refunds after Noon CT on Friday, October 25. Per Eventbrite’s policy, we are unable to refund the Eventbrite fee associated with each ticket purchase.
When planning to visit for Parent & Family Weekend, we encourage you to coordinate with your student around their schedule.
Please note, classes are not cancelled on Friday and you may want to check with your student regarding his or her class and study schedule for the weekend as many students will have exams, papers, and projects the week after you visit.
Some families attend one or more Parent & Family Weekend events, while others come in for the weekend to just enjoy dinner with their student and visit the store to stock up on necessities like toiletries. Any version of Parent & Family Weekend is great, so make sure to check-in with your student about their schedule and availability!
Parent & Family Weekend at WashU is an opportunity for student and family members to reconnect on campus. Throughout the weekend, there will be a host of programs, tours, and events offered that highlight the WashU experience and St. Louis. Most importantly, it is a chance to spend time with your student and meet other WashU family members.
The programs, tours, and events will be offered starting at Noon on Friday, November 1 and ending around 4:00 PM on Sunday, November 3. Families should feel free to schedule their arrival and departure based upon their plans for the weekend.
Visitor parking is available in the garages of the Danforth University Center (DUC), Snow Way, and Millbrook on the Danforth Campus, as well as in Shepley and Wallace Garages on the South 40.
You may also park in any unreserved space – those not marked as red or accessible – in any zone, from 5:00 PM on Thursday, October 31 through 7:00 AM on Monday, November 4.
