Family Ties is a newsletter for parents and family members of all WashU undergraduate students and is sent monthly during the academic year.

Parents and family members of incoming first-year students will receive Family Ties over the summer prior to their student’s arrival on campus. Family Ties focuses on topics regarding student life on campus, including events, programming, and key dates. It also includes messages from Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, Anna “Dr. G” Gonzalez.

Students should update their parent and family contact information in Workday so parents and family members can receive university emergency notifications, Family Ties, and stay engaged with the WashU community.
